THE SERIAL COMMA

The serial comma is the one the everyone somehow thinks is incorrect, but is actually extremely necessary.

Basically you could write

yellow, purple, green and blue

or

yellow, purple, green, and blue

and I will always choose the later. LOVE

I am constantly adding it into anything I edit and I am horrified when someone else tries to remove it in my writing.
